We have a GIS Data Engineer becoming available after this summer.
She has been working for 2.5 years as a full-time team member, working directly with one of our clients, Fishbrain. Her focus is on large-scale waterbody data that directly impacts map accuracy across the platform.
This is the kind of work that sits quietly in the background, but defines how reliable and usable a product feels.
Her work includes:
• Enhancing waterbody datasets across almost all U.S. states, Canada and other regions using QGIS
• Analysing and refining vector geometries to improve spatial accuracy as well as its usability
• Fixing topology and geometry issues to maintain high-quality geospatial data
• Managing and querying large geospatial databases using PostgreSQL
• Using DBeaver for SQL querying, validation and data quality checks
• Contributing to product improvements by adding and validating user-suggested waterbodies in the developer app
What stands out is how she works.
She takes ownership of large and complex datasets, works independently with minimal guidance, and consistently delivers structured, accurate and scalable results.
She has also worked with clients in over 25 countries, contributing to data-heavy systems where precision and reliability are critical.
The outcome is simple. Cleaner data, better maps and a more reliable experience for users.
If you are building products where geospatial data matters, feel free to reach out to our CEO directly!
Whether you have a question, some feedback, or just want to explore what's possible, I'm always happy to chat.
Feel free to reach out at any time, no strings attached and no agenda needed.
Sometimes the best conversations start with a simple hello!
