Key takeaways

  • Clear, detailed profiles help us find the right fit faster.

  • Keeping your process to three steps max protects you from losing strong candidates.

  • A smooth onboarding starts with looping in our hiring team early.

A few small habits on your end can make a big difference in how quickly and smoothly your hiring process runs. Here's what helps most.

Tips for a smoother process

  1. Be detailed when defining a profile. The more specific you are about both the skills and the personality you're looking for, the faster and more accurately we can match candidates to your needs.

  2. Share your internal process with us. If we know what steps candidates can expect on your end, we can keep them informed and engaged throughout, so they don't lose interest or drop out along the way.

  3. Keep your process to three steps max. Top tier developers are in high demand, and a long, drawn-out process is one of the main reasons companies lose their ideal candidate to another offer. Three steps, such as a technical interview, an experience discussion and a culture fit conversation, is usually enough to make a confident decision.

  4. Bring our hiring team into your onboarding plan. New hires follow the same onboarding process as your local team, so there's no separate track to manage.

  5. Keep us posted with regular feedback. Once your new hire is up and running, share regular feedback through the direct line manager. This helps us stay on top of how things are going and step in early if anything needs attention.

  6. Let us know if the engineer's manager changes. If the reporting line on your end ever changes, just give us a heads up so we can keep everything up to date.
